I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science
I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I had been considered delicate from birth. I was nervous, fearful, extremely timid, and had a very discontented disposition. Christian Science completely changed these conditions of thought, and I was able to go out into the business world and work as long as I needed to do so. I have been healed of catarrh of the stomach and bowels, chronic constipation, granulated eyelids, chronic biliousness, and sick headaches. All this came about through reading Mrs. Eddy's book, Science and Health, and her other writings.
The Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly are wonderful to me, for through them I have found God. The first passage in the Bible that stood out to me was in Matthew, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest;" and in Science and Health the statement (p. 1), "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." These words seemed to illumine my consciousness with joy and strength. I knew I had found the way.
