I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings and for the wonderful healings I have had through Christian Science.

As a child I was brought up in the Christian Science Sunday School. During the years which followed I always believed in Christian Science, although I did not always follow what I had been taught; but when error appeared, I would turn to it for help, especially when I entertained thoughts of resentment.

Some time ago I was stricken with a severe hemorrhage of the stomach, which left me in a state of complete exhaustion. My mother asked me if I wanted a practitioner, and I replied in the affirmative. By the time one came I was partially unconscious. She began to work for me, and declared that God is the only Life. Gradually consciousness returned. The "Daily Prayer" from the Manual of The Mother Church (Art. VIII, Sect. 4) kept ringing in my ears; over and over again I heard the words, "'Thy kingdom come;' let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me, and rule out of me all sin." In a short time I was able to sit up and talk to the practitioner, my mother, and another Christian Science friend who had been called in. In the days that followed I spent hours with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, learning more of Life that is God; learning, too, that man is made in His image and likeness, that Life is eternal, and that Love overcomes resentment. A desire came to me to learn more of the Christ, Truth; above all, to become a member of the local Christian Science Society and to be an active student of Christian Science. Within the next two weeks I was able to return to my work.
