I found Christian Science nineteen years ago. On reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of an almost unbearable nervous difficulty of many years' standing, and of many troubles arising from it. A sincere and completely childlike surrender to Almighty God preceded this wonderful healing. As I continued to read the textbook to its end, it became clear to me that it was now for me to prove myself worthy before God of this glorious instantaneous healing. Through faithful holding to the Christ, Truth, which our Father-Mother God has revealed to us in divine Science through our beloved Leader, I gained an ever better understanding, so that further problems of various sorts could be solved, some with help, and some through my own work. I am especially grateful for the fact that, even in the most severe afflictions and the greatest sorrow, Christian Science has been proved to me to be the Comforter. I am also deeply grateful to those who later helped me when I went through deep sorrow. Great joy and gratitude also fill me at being able to serve our church as Sunday school teacher and usher.

I have been a member of our church in Schweidnitz since its formation, and am also a member of The Mother Church, having withdrawn from my former church almost eighteen years ago. Since then I have been a healthy and happy person, and have not employed a doctor. From the bottom of my heart I thank our Father-Mother God and our beloved Leader, who has again brought us the eternal truth through divine revelation.—(Mrs.) Cäcilie Olbrich, Schweidnitz i.
