In the report of an address in a recent issue, reference is made to spiritual healing. Christian Science is widely known as a system of healing by spiritual means only, and two allusions to this religion were made by the distinguished lecturer in the course of his address. As some misunderstanding is likely to occur regarding the practice of Christian Science, I trust you will grant space for this statement.

While the address was brimful of humanity, the speaker did not say very much about the simple teachings of the greatest of all physicians, the master Metaphysician, Christ Jesus. Surely the gospel of Christ, Truth, is the only solution for human woes. Christ Jesus certainly carried out the functions of both doctor and minister. His demonstrations of the truth of being were divinely natural. In the light of Christian Science his teachings are specific and clear.

Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 473): "This is the Science of Christianity. Jesus proved the Principle, which heals the sick and casts out error, to be divine."
