An article in a recent issue included the following paragraph: "Christian Scientists also have their Bible, the works of Mary Baker Eddy, extracts from which are engraved on the walls of some of their churches. I have not read them, so I will not attempt to describe them." The comment is misleading.

The English Bible used in Christian Science services is the King James Version. The first tenet of Christian Science reads, "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 497; Church Manual, p. 15).
