Christian Science has brought so much of good into my life during the past twenty-six years that I desire to express my gratitude for the many blessings received. We have had many healings in a family of four, and we have found Christian Science to be of inestimable value in rearing a son and daughter. During their childhood, they received many quick healings. On two occasions, when we took a firm stand for the truth, beautiful healings from serious attacks of disease were experienced. The education and guidance of our son and daughter have been greatly assisted by our following the advice of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, in the Christian Science textbook (see "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" 62:4-7; 235:11-13). From earliest childhood they have had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School and gaining a foundational knowledge of Truth.
In the conduct of my business I have found the teachings of Christian Science entirely practical in the solution of many perplexing problems. During the depression, when the banks were closed, and later, at the time of an earthquake, I turned to God for wisdom and strength in dealing with these trying circumstances, and in each case a right way was found by which to continue to operate our business successfully.
For many years it has been my happy privilege to take part in our church activities, and my observation has been that, however humble our service, if it is performed with love, it will promote spiritual growth. Class instruction has opened up the spiritual meaning of the Bible to me, and provided a clearer, demonstrable understanding of the truth and of the scientific method of handling error. I am deeply grateful for the faithful work of our teachers and practitioners.
