Over twenty years ago, I was visiting my parents in Kansas. While there I talked to a friend, who, seeing I was in poor health, said that Christian Science would help me. The day I started home, she came to the train and gave me two copies of the Christian Science Sentinel, of which I read every word. After I arrived home I sent for a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and also the Christian Science Quarterly; and I have read the Lesson-Sermon every day during these years.
I have been healed of constipation, skin cancer, nail biting, headaches, gallstones, and other ills. I still have much to overcome, but, "thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory," and thanks to our noble Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has left so rich a legacy to all mankind, I have found peace of mind and happiness in my studies.
Christian Science means more to me than anything in the world; and my heart goes out in gratitude to our Leader, and to the practitioners who have helped me along the way. I live in a rural community, in which there are no other members of this faith and no Christian Science church, so that I have studied alone all these years. But I must say that it has not been a handicap to me, for this Science is very understandable and even a little child can find practical help in its teaching. It is wonderful to know that at any time, when I seem unable to do my own work, I can call on a practitioner for absent treatment, and feel the results immediately. I am indeed grateful for the good I have received.—(Mrs.) Sadie Leitch, Mount Brydges, Ontario, Canada.
