Christian Science has been my only physician for the...
Christian Science has been my only physician for the past twenty years, and I am offering this testimony of healing from a heart filled with gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for giving to the world the greatest discovery since Jesus' time, and in such a complete and simple way that all may understand and put it into practice in their everyday living. Mrs. Eddy has given us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which, together with the Bible, is our sufficient guide.
I have so much to be grateful for that I can tell only a part of it in this testimony. Over five years ago I was healed of deafness, which was becoming more and more real to me. Finally my voice was greatly affected, which made it difficult for me to speak loudly enough for others to hear. Not having overcome this condition, I asked for help from several practitioners, but without relief resulting. Finally one practitioner, after working quite some time on the case, took up the thought of pressure, and the trouble was healed immediately. After a while it returned. This time I was calling on a friend who was working on another problem, and who recommended that I study the statement on page 207 of Science and Health, "The spiritual reality is the scientific fact in all things." As I was trying to realize what this fact meant, I was instantly healed, and have been free from this difficulty ever since.
I have had many healings in Christian Science, as well as proofs of its protecting power. For all of these, and for the privilege of class instruction, membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the help Science is giving to all mankind everywhere, I wish to express my deep and sincere gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and to all the Christian Science practitioners throughout the world who are courageous, sincere workers in God's vineyard.
