My parents became interested in Christian Science before...
My parents became interested in Christian Science before I was born. It is therefore the only religion and the only healing agency I have ever known, and to express adequately my appreciation for its blessings would be difficult. Throughout my life the application of its truths has maintained for me a state of continuous good health. It was an invaluable aid during my school years, and has been proved during my business experience to be sound, practical, and efficient when intelligently and honestly applied.
Although seldom finding it necessary to demonstrate Christian Science for physical needs, I have nevertheless had to apply its teachings to a variety of other human problems. One of the ways in which it has been most helpful is in the handling of human relationships, those daily contacts which we are called upon to make with one another and which so often, without the aid of Christian Science, are beset by fear, discord, and the clash of human will.
Christian Science teaches that there is one Mind—God, good—reflected by innumerable and perfect ideas, and the highest of these ideas are the sons and daughters of God—immortal men and women. They reflect Him directly and individually, as the rays of the sun reflect the sun, and it is as impossible for friction to exist between God's ideas as it is for the rays of the sun to quarrel with each other.
