"They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great...

"They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness." So many good and beautiful things have come into my experience as a result of my study and application of Christian Science that I must share the healing thoughts with others.

I was brought up as an orthodox Episcopalian. In my early teens I accepted with some skepticism and much curiosity a position to play for Christian Science services in a branch church. Through these very services I received healings of ivy poisoning, colds, cuts, false theological beliefs, and, in some degree, fear.

Two years later, on arriving in Boston to study music, I felt myself strongly drawn to The Mother Church, and I was soon enrolled in the Sunday school there. Never shall I cease to be grateful for that experience, for the firm foundation laid and the loving teaching received from a devoted worker. During this period there were various healings; any tendency towards homesickness was overcome, a painful boil on my arm which tried to keep me from piano work disappeared overnight; grippe was conquered within a few hours; I was strengthened and supported and guided in strenuous work at the Conservatory, and at the completion of my studies there, it was Christian Science which opened the way to a desirable position. Again, it was Christian Science which led me to the right friends and kept me from the many temptations which cross the path of young people away from home.
