It is indeed cause for rejoicing to have a religion that is practical and provable; to have learned how to turn to God at all times and under all conditions. Then it is only natural to be profoundly grateful to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, who, through her spiritual vision, untiring and unselfish efforts, was enabled to give to us Science and Health and her other writings, whereby we may utilize the promises and statements of the Bible.
I am most grateful for having been reared in a home wherein the teachings of Christian Science were made practical; also for having had the opportunity of attending the Christian Science Sunday School.
As a young child I was instantaneously healed of a deformed finger nail, caused by a wart at the base of the nail. This healing came about through the clear realization of the truth as expressed to my mother one evening when she was discussing this erroneous condition with another Christian Scientist. The next morning when I awakened, the finger was normal. My mother was in a distant city and I at home when this healing took place.
