Just One Way
Multitudes of people consider Jesus to have been a very good man, yet seem to be uncertain about his teachings and entertain some doubt as to whether or not he was the promised Messiah. Multitudes of earnest persons hold to the mistaken belief that Jesus was God; that he took the form of a man for a short season, and after the ascension resumed his original state of being as Deity.
An ever-increasing number of persons who are studying and interpreting the Scriptures with the help of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which is the Christian Science textbook, written by Mary Baker Eddy, declare with sincerity and conviction that Jesus was the best man that ever walked this earth, and they know why he was so. The reason why Christian Scientists do not regard Jesus as God is that he declared himself to be the Son of God. Shortly after his resurrection, he said to Mary, "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." This statement by the Master is positive proof that he did not consider himself, nor want anyone to consider him, to be God. Christ Jesus was the Messiah, in that he demonstrated Christ, Truth, during his ministry.
Practically all who call themselves Christians claim that Jesus was and is the Way-shower, meaning by that term the one who shows the way to obtain salvation, or to find heaven. However, among humankind there are many differing opinions about heaven, and as to what salvation is, or includes. This should not be so, for Jesus, the Way-shower, gave actual proof through scientific demonstration of a present and complete salvation, and a heaven at hand, to be enjoyed here and now by all ready to experience it.
