Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Three news items in the press containing misleading statements regarding Christian Science were replied to by your Committee. Two of these letters of correction were published.

The Christian Science Monitor is received by eleven editors in exchange for an equivalent amount of advertising.

A contributor to a newspaper, who had supplied irrelevant squibs regarding Christian Science, upon being reminded by an assistant that Christian Science is a Christian religion founded upon the Scriptures, admitted he knew nothing of Christian Science, accepted the loan of a copy of Lyman P. Powell's biography, "Mary Baker Eddy: A Life Size Portrait," which he read with such interest that he stopped writing the squibs, and expressed a desire to attend a Christian Science lecture when one was delivered in his locality.
