Safety

Darkness and light are both alike to Thee;
How can I fear the night!
Thine everlasting arms encompass me,
And where Thou art is light.

Night shineth as the day to those who know
The light of Life is here.
I claim Thy presence, Love divine, and so
I shut the door on fear.

The terrors that in darkness walk unseen
Are powerless to harm;
I lay me down in peace and sleep serene,
In Thine enfolding arm.
