Oh, that I could adequately relate what Christian Science...

Oh, that I could adequately relate what Christian Science has done for me during the last nine years!

On returning from a long stay in India, I suddenly found myself without family, money, or friends. Prior to this, a Christian Scientist in Calcutta had asked my husband to recommend this Science to me, but I was engrossed in other teachings, and refused the offer. The latter however, failed me when sorrow came, and neither church nor chapel could comfort me. My consciousness was full of bitterness against those who seemingly had broken up my home, and I suffered from sleeplessness. I was then led to a Christian Scientist's home, and upon asking for help for the above complaint I was told that I should have to cease entertaining thoughts of hatred and resentment against anyone, as those thoughts were unlike God or His image and likeness. Then I made serious efforts to correct my thinking, and I enjoyed good sleep in proportion as I did so. Many healings followed, and my home was restored to me again with my children; others have been helped thereby, and I am very grateful for all this.

I am glad to be a member of The Mother Church and am grateful for class instruction, which has put my feet upon a firm rock of spiritual understanding. I am grateful to have found the best in life. I wish also to express my thanks to Mrs. Eddy for this great gift of love, and for all the activities of our Christian Science movement. I ask myself, If this is the beginning, what will the harvest be? I also want to thank the Christian Scientist in Calcutta, unknown to me, for her kind thoughts for me fifteen years ago; they were not in vain.—(Mrs.) Karolina W. Chambers, Harrow, Middlesex, England.
