I am glad to be able to express my thanks for discernment...
I am glad to be able to express my thanks for discernment of an all-encompassing divine government.
About five years ago, when I was afflicted with a spinal trouble, my attention was called to Christian Science, but I would not give it a hearing. When none of the various doctors whom I consulted could help me, I was in a state of despair. Finally I turned to a chiropractor. He made an unfair remark about Christian Science, which made me determine to begin the study of this healing doctrine; and I very soon had the aid of a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner lovingly explained to me the applicability of this teaching, and said that we do not strive to heal matter, but only our thoughts about supposedly inharmonious conditions.
Through earnest reading and study I was gradually able to progress in the glorious teaching of Christian Science, and to learn to understand and love God better. Good results were not wanting, for in about six months I had regained my health. Now and again I still had to strugle with various errors; but when one is conscious of the nothingness of erros, these troublesome intruders disappear, for it is only we ourselves who have granted them admittance.
