I am very grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me and for others.

After I had been reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for only a few months, I was healed of the need of wearing glasses, which I had worn for eighteen years. I was also healed of constipation and stomach trouble of many years' standing. I had tried all kinds of medicine and diets until actually I was afraid of most foods. After I had studied Christian Science for several years, that fear left me and I realized that I was healed.

Over two years ago my husband was out of work, and as it was not the first time that he had been unemployed during the depression, we became very much discouraged. We were at the home of my parents, who live in small town in the Middle West, in which there was no Christian Science church or society at that time. As I had attended services quite regularly in a city in which we had formerly lived, I missed them very much. About this time, a traveling woman recommended that some Christian Scientists read the services in one of the homes for those who were interested. My husband and I attended this service, and I shall never forget what an inspiration it was. On Wednesday evening we went to the testimony meeting, and my thought was so uplifted that I felt confident that God would direct my husband to his right place.
