The Awakening!

"Inspiring discontent,"*
That will not let us rest
Supinely self-deceived
In this false world of shades,
But urges us to rise
On wings of holiness,
Where freed thought sings and bathes
In chastity and light!

And as the radiant day
Sweeps back the dreams of night,
So to each longing heart
Eternity unfolds;
And in its constant light
We shall arise and shine,
Because man is allied
Forever to all good,
And knowing this we find
That man is satisfied!
