Putting Our Trust in God

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE is calling upon mankind today, in no uncertain manner, to put its trust in God. But how can mankind put its trust in God if it does not know Him aright, and is not persuaded of His trustworthiness?

It is just that knowledge of God which Christian Science gives, and in fullest measure; knowledge which convinces all who gain it of His love, His goodness, His faithfulness—His trustworthiness. We are living in an age of discovery; never before in the world's history have men penetrated so deeply into the secrets of the so-called material universe and put their discoveries to practical use. But all such discoveries dwindle into insignificance when compared with the revelation of God and His spiritual universe—the only real universe—which Christian Science brings to men.

God is infinite, omnipresent Mind. Yet, how far away from mortals He may seem to be! Where shall we find Him? cries sad, sick, sinful humanity, as it feels the need of a power able to save it from its distresses. Prayer rises incessantly to God from the lips of men and women for a revelation of Himself that will enable them to know Him correctly, and bring them the assurance that He will meet their need. This prayer is answered by Christian Science, which declares the truth about God in simplest language, which explains His relationship to man and the universe, and sets forth the scientific method whereby mankind can find itself trusting God and enjoying His love and goodness.
