I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science...
I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science and for all that it has done for me.
A healing for which I am especially grateful was that of tuberculosis of the lungs. After other members in our home had passed on with this disease, I too began to suffer from the same condition. At first only one lung was affected; and I was treated by the best-known physicians at different times. I was put to bed for a rest cure, but after trying this treatment for a time I decided to discontinue it, and I attempted to continue my schoolwork. Later, when the other lung began to give me trouble, I was compelled to stay in bed most of the time, as I could not sit up without suffering greatly.
My condition was alarming to me. When it seemed that I had almost reached the end, I turned earnestly to Christian Science for help, for that was my only hope. I asked a practitioner for help, and I was healed. This was a wonderful experience to me, for I felt like a new person in a new world. It seemed as if a heavy load had been lifted from me; I felt so light, so happy, and so free. A great peace of mind, and new thoughts that I had never known before, came with this healing and I began work again with new life. Christian Science had been a help to me before this and the literature had been in our home for some time, but not until I was so much in need of the physical healing did I seek Truth wholeheartedly. This healing took place seven years ago, and it has been permanent.
