Applying Christian Science
Students of Christian Science turn naturally to the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, to find the scientifically true way of meeting all human situations. Every phase of human existence is expressive of a mental attitude, or state of thinking. In proportion, therefore, as an individual improves his thinking, through an understanding of the truth, his everyday environment and activity manifest more harmony, completeness, progressiveness.
Mrs. Eddy has written in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 123), "Divine Science, rising above physical theories, excludes matter, resolves things into thoughts, and replaces the objects of material sense with spiritual ideas." This energizing experience of looking into the spiritual creation, constantly and consistently, lifts thought away from the confining belief in matter and reveals the unlimited abundance of Mind. In this way each seemingly simple work-a-day task may become an incentive to inquiry into undiscovered mental realms, unplumbed depths, unforeseen heights.
