In the fall of 1910 an aunt who had suffered many years from curvature of the spine, and who had been under the care of many well-known surgeons and osteopaths, was healed in a few weeks through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This healing, which was complete, naturally interested other members of the family, and I began at once to study the textbook. My mother, who was suffering from chronic sick headaches and a nervous breakdown, called on a practitioner and was very quickly healed. Following this my father was healed of a long-standing stomach trouble from which physicians had been unable to give him any permanent relief.

After reading a few passages in the textbook I knew that it was an answer to my prayer for a better understanding of God, and the Bible soon became a new book to me. As a result of a better concept of God and His creation, I soon realized that I was healed of a chronic bronchial cough from which I had suffered for several years. Through the advice of physicians I had spent two winters in a southern climate, but I received no permanent relief, and had been warned against remaining in Missouri another winter. After I began the study of Christian Science all fear of the cough left me, and although I have spent many winters in Missouri since that time, I have not had the slightest return of bronchitis. I have also been healed of sick headaches and of a very painful sinus condition; and when loved ones have passed on I have been instantaneously healed of every suggestion of sorrow and separation.

It would be impossible to measure the good which has unfolded in my life as a result of the study of Christian Science; and each day I am more grateful for the Discoverer, Founder, and Leader of the Christian Science movement, and for her demonstration, The Mother Church, with all of its activities.
