There Is No Death

There is no death: through the false mist I see
A vision clear of immortality;
Of life bereft of sorrow, sin, and pain,
Where hearts are glad and love is not in vain;
Where man is seen as God made him to be—
Forever ageless, joyous, pure, and free;
Where each one has his place, his work, his call,
For God doth reign supremely over all.
And His law is the law of Love and Life,
Of deep content, wherein there is no strife.
Fear has no place, nor scalding, bitter tear,
But peace and health do reign, and strength and cheer.
There is no death: O heart, awake and see,
God is the Life of all—eternally!
