The editorial entitled "Worry" in your issue of March 22 presents a constructive point of view and an intended kindly reference to Christian Science. It is true that many people are finding in Christian Science a means of overcoming fear and worry.

Christian Science is a religion that is founded on the inspired word of the Holy Bible. This teaching acknowledges Christ Jesus as the Way-shower, and it heals sickness, sin, and inharmony, including worry, by the same spiritually mental means that the Master employed. Mental suggestion, will-power, and unfounded optimism are foreign to the method practiced by Christ Jesus in his healing ministry, and they have no place in the teachings of Christian Science. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, states on page 144 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," "Human will belongs to the so-called material senses, and its use is to be condemned." Again she says, "Truth, and not corporeal will, is the divine power which says to disease, 'Peace, be still.'"

Christian Scientists accept St. Paul's statement to which your editorial refers, "All things work together for good to them that love God." Mrs. Eddy quotes these words a number of times in her writings and frequently refers to their teaching. It is most important that we learn to love God aright, to love good, and Christian Science shows us how to live so that all our daily experiences may work together for our good.
