I became interested in Christian Science almost five...
I became interested in Christian Science almost five years ago, because of a sincere desire to help my young daughter. At the time, she was suffering from nervous indigestion, in so acute a form that she was forced to give up her college work. With the aid of a loving and understanding practitioner, we seriously studied "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I endeavored in my daily life to put into practice the truths which she so lucidly explains. Some three months later I took a motor trip to New England. Previously I had always dreaded the journey, as I had to ride in an open car. I had been a sufferer from sinus trouble of some years' duration, and the usual headaches and accompanying pains in my face would appear a few hours after I was on the road. This summer I entered the car with no sense of fear, knowing that as God's perfect image and reflection I could manifest no pain of any kind. The first day passed most pleasantly—there were no symptoms of any kind, and by evening I rejoiced to know that I had been healed of all traces of sinus trouble. The healing has been permanent.
My young daughter made slow but steady progress, and today is well and happy. I am exceedingly grateful for the good that has unfolded in my life. My desire is unselfishly to serve the Cause of Christian Science and, wherever possible, help those still enslaved to mortal mind thinking.
