Christian Science came into our home at a time when all material aid had failed. Physicians told my wife that she would have to be operated on for a so-called female ailment, but that any good results of the operation could not be guaranteed to be permanent.
I was very much disturbed and lost weight. On returning from the doctor's office one evening we stopped at a friend's home and my wife asked this friend if she would go to a Christian Science church service with her, as she wanted to get some peace of mind. The friend lovingly told her that she would, so we attended a Wednesday evening meeting and heard many wonderful testimonies of healing. We were so uplifted by hearing of these many proofs of God's loving care that we went again the next Wednesday evening.
We did not know what Christian Science was, so we made an appointment with a practitioner and asked him to tell us something about it, which he did; and it was the most wonderful and most profitable experience I have ever had. My wife had two treatments from the practitioner and was healed. I began to study Science and Health and was healed of stomach trouble, constipation, severe colds, and many other so-called physical ailments.
