Notes from the Publishing House

Because of the very large number of applications for employment which the Publishing Society receives each year, we believe the Field will be interested to know that our staff changes but little, and that we expect it will be unnecessary to increase it upon moving to the new building.

It might be helpful to those living at considerable distance from Boston to know that when a position opens, personal interviews with several of the most suitable applicants are necessary in order to choose the one best qualified. A definite offer of employment is not made until the applicant has had interviews with the Supervisor of Personnel and the executive in whose department there is a vacancy.

The Publishing Society appreciates very much the many kind offers of service which have been received, and believes that our Field workers will be glad to know a little of the way we fill the few positions which open.
