I thank God with all my heart for Christian Science
I thank God with all my heart for Christian Science. With gratitude I wish to tell of my healing, which has strengthened my faith and convinced me beyond doubt that the right understanding of God and His immeasurable love alone can truly help mankind.
I suffered with hemorrhages of the lungs, an after effect of a lung trouble which I had contracted during the war. They were very severe and continued through days and weeks, and it was very terrifying for me to contemplate the ultimate outcome of this ill. In my extremity I turned to a friend who had previously told me of Christian Science and whom at that time I had requested, none too politely, not to speak of it to me any more. Now I turned to Christian Science gladly because it gave me hope of recovery. My friend told me that every kind of disease could be healed, and took me to a Christian Science practitioner, who expalined to me that God is the only reality, that He fills all space, that He is Father-Mother and is good only; that He is all Life, all Truth, and all Love, and that man is His image and likeness.
The practitioner worked for me and I studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Results were not lacking; my understanding grew, and the disease became so unreal to me that suddenly it vanished. I have been well since that time.
