I should like to relate the healing which brought me into...
I should like to relate the healing which brought me into Christian Science. I had been an invalid for eleven years and a half, suffering from a weak heart and an enlarged abdomen. During all those years I was a helpless invalid. Five doctors examined me and could not do anything for me, and my own doctor said I could live only a few days. In this extremity Christian Science was presented to me by a dear friend who sent me some copies of the Sentinel. When I read them I felt that here was something I had been looking for all my life, and as I read on to the testimonies I was overjoyed and thought that if those people could be healed surely I could also. Then the textbook, Science and Health, was lent to me, and the reading of it began to heal me of fear, which was extreme, as to sense I was too nervous to see or speak to anyone. A Christian Science practitioner took my case, and my heart will ever be grateful to her. After several months I was absolutely healed, able to care for my own household duties and attend the church services.
When I first took up the study of Christian Science I could walk a few yards with great difficulty, but now I can walk seven miles with the greatest ease. I am in better health than ever before. My daughter has been wonderfully blessed through the study of Christian Science. My boy, who was very delicate and under the doctor's care nearly all the time before I took up the study of Christian Science, is now strong and healthy.
My prayer is that I may work in my Father's vineyard and help others as I have been helped and blessed.—(Mrs.) Edith Ellen Walters, Lamphey, Pembrokeshire, England.
