It is with a heart full of gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. One sometimes hears expressed the belief that Christian Science cannot cure organic disease. I stand as a living proof that this wonderful teaching does heal now as it did in the days of our beloved Master, Christ Jesus.

About eleven years ago I was at the brink of the grave. I had been under the care of many leading specialists, and had undergone several major and minor operations which caused me untold pain and suffering. I was then informed that nothing more could be done for me—that my case was incurable. A friend invited me to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting at a Christian Science church and I accepted, although I did not know what she meant, as I had never heard of this religion. I shall never forget that night. I was able to walk from the church, and I felt that there was a great truth in all I had heard. I was asked to see a Christian Science practitioner, and accordingly the next day I called at his office. After a most comforting talk and a treatment, I became conscious of a new feeling, and found that the disease had entirely left me. The healing was instantaneous. I have never felt any trace of the trouble (cancerous antrum) since that day.
