For so many years I have enjoyed reading the testimonies of other people that it is with a great sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I send mine. My first healing was of kidney trouble. The family physician had told my parents that nothing could be done. While working out another problem I realized that I was healed. Our four children were born under Science treatment, and have never taken a drop of medicine. Our eldest son, when but three years old, ate some rat poison just before we left home to go sixty miles into the country. That evening he had high fever and was very ill, so I took him away from the rest of the family and began to work for him in Christian Science. In about two hours he was asleep, but I stayed with him and kept on working. By the time I was ready to retire I knew that God is All-power and ever present. About an hour later my husband came to the room and found our little son unconscious and breathing very heavily. He awoke me, saying that the child was dying, but I immediately declared that man is the image and likeness of God, therefore perfect. I knew it and had no fear. A little later the boy became conscious and was completely healed.

The children have also been healed of scarlet fever, measles, chicken pox, whooping cough, pneumonia, and a broken bone. I have been healed of a growth on my body through my own work in Christian Science and with my husband's help. At times while I was working on that trouble, I became so weak that I could not walk very far, but I continued to declare that God is omnipotent and ever present. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy that she was able to give Christian Science to the world; also for membership in The Mother Church.
