The following is in reply to a sermon entitled "Is Christian Science Scriptural?" delivered recently in St. Andrew's Church, and appearing in your issue of December 21.

The writers of Scripture had to choose the most perfect terms in the language of their day wherewith to express their inspired thought, and translators of the Bible have labored, with all the scholarship at their command, to give us the expression of that thought in the tongue of our day.

The reason for the revision of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy states on page 361 of that volume: "I have revised Science and Health only to give a clearer and fuller expression of its original meaning."
