It is with great joy that I send this testimony of my first...
It is with great joy that I send this testimony of my first healing in Christian Science which occurred fifteen years ago. I had been ill a long time and had been told that an operation was my only hope and that the chances were but even as to living with or without the operation for uterine tumor. As I lay in bed these words came to me: In Him ye shall have life. I trusted God to guide me. Three weeks went by and I had not had any desire for medical care when loving friends asked me to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was so weak I could not see to read, so my husband read to me. He then suggested having a Christian Science practitioner, and went to one, stating my case; the practitioner lovingly came and saw my need. She told me that man-made law was not God's law and that divine Love would meet all my needs.
In the study of Christian Science I found the true way of living spiritually; and the Bible has been made so plain to me that it seems as if I have come from darkness into light. Since my healing I have been able to do the work for eleven people in my home, which meant long hours each day for many months; yet I always found time for my daily reading and gained strength continually.
I am grateful that I have been able to show others the way to live; that I have been able to serve as First Reader in a branch church; and that I am a member of The Mother Church. I am grateful that I can give this testimony, and truly hope it will bring much joy to those who read it. I know that God, Love, is always with us; and as Enoch walked with God, so we can put our hand in God's and He will guide us in the right way.
