About three years ago I became interested in Christian Science through a very dear friend. One day I asked her to tell me something about this Science, and she told me of her healings and blessings. It sounded like a miracle to me at that time. The next day she gave me two copies of the Christian Science Sentinel and asked me to read them, but I laid them away. At the end of two weeks she asked me if I had read them, and I said, "No, I have no time." She told me she was sure I could find ten or fifteen minutes every day to read. When I read the testimonies I wondered all the afternoon if it could be true that Christian Science could heal such sickness. With this thought I went to sleep. The next morning I found that I was healed of kidney trouble from which I had suffered for over thirty years.

After this healing I started to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I had many other healings, including that of a skin disease which I had had for over four years, and which doctors could not cure. I was completely healed by one treatment from a practitioner. Rheumatism, indigestion, sore throat, colds, have left me absolutely; business trouble has been overcome. Christian Science has brought a great change to my home. I cannot express in words how many blessings I have received through Christian Science. I also wish to give thanks for all that Christian Science has done for my wife and for me. The first time I heard about this religion was in November, 1929, when my wife asked me to go with her to a lecture. When I came home everything changed for the better. I was wearing a belt from the effects of an operation, but the day after I heard my first Christian Science lecture I threw it away and have not had any more trouble with this ailment.
