I am very grateful for Christian Science, and I want to...
I am very grateful for Christian Science, and I want to express my gratitude to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy for the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
After suffering for over twenty-five years with pile tumors and prolapsus of the rectum, I had an operation about six years ago. For a while I seemed to feel very much better, and then an abscess formed in the place where the operation had been performed, and I had to go back to the hospital to be operated on again. This wound would not heal. After I had gone to the doctor's office for some months, the nurse came to me quietly and told me that I had a fistula and must undergo another operation. This I did. Instead of getting better I kept getting worse, and mortification had set in. I knew that if I did not get help from some source very soon I should pass on. When I was about ready to give up, my youngest son expressed his desire to have me take up Christian Science and go with him to a practitioner. I did so, and within six months I was entirely well. I have enjoyed good health ever since.
I want to state further that there have been a number of wonderful healings in my family through Christian Science. I also want to thank the practitioner who worked so faithfully for me when I was in this great distress. I have no words at my command that could fully express my gratitude for all that I have received in Christian Science. It gives me great pleasure to state that I am a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church.—George H. Stoll, Beverly Hills, California.
