Christian Science was presented to my husband about seventeen years ago, and a friend lent us a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. We read some, but did not seem ready to take up the study. I am sure, however, that the little we read helped us through some trials.

About ten years ago, when physicians said that my husband had heart disease and I had sciatic rheumatism and other diseases which called for an operation, we went to a Christian Science practitioner. My husband had treatments and was healed of the heart trouble. We began to read the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and without any special treatment, just by studying and reading, I was healed of the rheumatism and the organic trouble that I had been told called for an operation.

We are most grateful for the physical healings, but more so for the spiritual uplifting and the unfolding of good through the study of the Bible and of Science and Health. We are grateful for membership in a branch church and The Mother Church.
