An editorial in your issue of March 5 presented an important point when it stated, "The religion of Jesus Christ was for all humanity." However, the editorial was mistaken when it implied that the discovery made by Mary Baker Eddy was incomplete. When the nature, scope, and effect of her discovery are seen, the completeness of the discovery is recognized.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 107) Mrs. Eddy says, "In the year 1866, I discovered the Christ Science or divine laws of Life, Truth, and Love, and named my discovery Christian Science." Webster states that "one discovers what existed before, but had remained unknown." The laws of divine Love have always existed as inseparable from the Supreme Being.

Is not God unlimited, ever present, and all-powerful? The Bible says, "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it." From time to time throughout the ages pure-minded, consecrated men and women have cured disease by spiritual means, without knowing exactly how the healing was accomplished. Not having the Science, or exact knowledge, of the laws underlying spiritual healing, such earnest worshipers of God were unable to rely whole-heartedly upon God's laws, nor could they teach others how to utilize them in healing.
