Under the heading "Burris Jenkins Says," in your issue of last Sunday, a writer discusses the question, "Can faith cures cure?" He agrees that certain diseases can be healed by faith, but denies that typhoid, pneumonia, and some other diseases can be so healed.

Although Christian Science healing is more than what is commonly called faith cure, a reader of this article might easily apply faith to the practice of this religion. Space therefore is requested for this comment.

In the November, 1929, issue of The Christian Science Journal may be found many carefully verified testimonies of healing through the understanding and application of Christian Science. Some of the diseases healed include typhoid-pneumonia, double pneumonia, consumption in its so-called last stages, two cases of diphtheria, and two cases of scarlet fever.

Christ Jesus during his healing ministry healed "all manner of disease;" and he said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." Christian Scientists rejoice in this promise of the Master and in some understanding of the divine Principle underlying his healing work. Christian Science heals by the same spiritual means employed by Christ Jesus.
