In 1925 I experienced the healing power of God, divine Love, in a most convincing manner. I had suffered from asthma for several years, sometimes so badly that at night I could only sit upright in bed. All that the doctors had tried had been in vain. The last doctor, a homeopathist, told me, after his endeavors had met with no success, that I ought to pray, and he asked me whether I did not believe in a higher Being through whom I could be helped. I had already heard of Christian Science, and had read some of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At my request help was given me by a Christian Science practitioner. After two treatments I was completely healed. An ear complaint which later asserted itself was healed in one treatment. Through daily study, and by attending the Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings, I have gradually gained a better understanding of the teachings of Christian Science and of its spiritual purport, and thereby have become a happier individual.

I cannot be grateful enough to God for His everlasting love, and that I have found the truth of which Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," and which has been revealed to the world again by our beloved Leader. I am sincerely grateful to Mrs. Eddy and to the practitioner who showed me the way of Truth.
