[Written for the Sentinel]

Omnipresence

Not in the whirlwind—God; a still small voice
Revealed His affluence to the waiting seer.
Not hissing flame, not earthquake's hurtling roar
Gave confidence serene, disarming fear.

Rejoice then, troubled one, and know the clash
The senses hear no power has to harm.
Be still!—and waiting, thou shalt usher in,
By prayer, the voice of harmony's full psalm,

Dispelling chaos with eternal light,
Which ever riseth to the perfect day,
Till banished is each terror of the night,
As naught revealed, for Love and Truth hold sway.
