I am indeed grateful for Christian Science

I am indeed grateful for Christian Science. About eight years ago I received a wonderful healing of a growth on the throat. A physician had frankly said he did not know what to do for me and had advised me to see a specialist whom he recommended. After the specialist had examined the condition he said an operation was necessary at once or it would be too late, and told me to make preparations for it. At this time I was interested in Christian Science, and instead of going back to the doctor I called on a Christian Science practitioner, who said, " 'With God all things are possible.' " With that a faint ray of light and hope came to me. Treatment was continued, and in four weeks the growth had disappeared completely. A few weeks after this healing I met the doctor, who questioned me as to what I had done; and when I told him I had been healed through Christian Science treatment he said simply, "Well, it is gone, absolutely gone."

A few years ago I experienced a slow healing. The condition seemed to grow worse as time went on, and at times discouragement crept in; but I relied on the Christ, Truth, to help me. I am so grateful for the practitioner's patient and loving support. One day, while suffering and unable to go to the telephone to ask for help, I reversed every suggestion and affirmed the truth as Christian Science teaches. Instead of being afraid to breathe, the realization of the truth that "in him we live, and move, and have our being" brought my healing, and it was complete.

We have had many other healings in our home, but while grateful for the physical healings I am learning to be more grateful for the spiritual uplifting and the spiritual understanding I am gaining through the study of Christian Science.
