Christian Science has meant a great deal to me for the past eight years. It has given me a clear realization that God is my Life, and that now we are the sons and daughters of God. Over four years ago, seemingly in the death valley, my daughter and I suffered from poisoning for six weeks. I called a Christian Science practitioner and she lovingly helped us; but she was moving at that time, and as I did not get her telephone number I could not communicate with her. During this period I was not able to think or do any work myself, so we grew worse. The last part of the sixth week I awakened one night thinking I was dying. Then came the realization that God was my Life and I could not die. When I saw this clearly, I was able to work mentally, and we both revived. The next day we were able to partake of food, and in a very short time were completely healed.

I am sincerely grateful for this healing, but words fail to express my gratitude for the freedom and peace which have come to my daughter. Over five years ago she was pronounced incurable by one of the best specialists on mental diseases; but thanks to our beloved Leader and her teaching, I was able to know for a certainty that "God is no respecter of persons." A short time after this she was healed in Christian Science, and the healing has been permanent. Mrs. Eddy says in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 234), "Whatever inspires with wisdom, Truth, or Love—be it song, sermon, or Science—blesses the human family with crumbs of comfort from Christ's table, feeding the hungry and giving living waters to the thirsty." That is what Love has done for her.

I am sincerely grateful for membership in The Mother Church, to The Christian Science Board of Directors, for the Sunday school, for all of Mrs. Eddy's works, and for all the periodicals. I am also sincerely grateful to those who have helped me to a better understanding of Truth.
