Report from the Field

[From the Report of the Christian Science Prison Committee for the State of New York]

The committee is very grateful for the support which it has received from churches and societies, as well as from individual Christian Scientists, during the quarter that has just terminated.

The parole work of the committee is progressing harmoniously. All of our parolees are at work, and several have received their certificates of discharge through this office during the quarter.

It will be of interest to the Field to learn that large new modern dormitories have been erected at Sing Sing Prison, and connected with these is a building containing a theater and two chapels, one of which is for the use of the Protestant inmates. It is in this chapel that our services will be held in the future, and the accommodations will be much more comfortable than they have been in the place where we meet at present.
