Christian Science came to me with its healing light more than twenty years ago, when a neighbor told my grandmother of her mother's healing and gave grandmother some copies of the Sentinel. Shortly afterwards a member of our family was healed through Christian Science treatment, when the doctors' verdict had been hopeless. The medicine closet was cleared out, and we children were sent to the Christian Science Sunday School.

Christian Science raised "the standard of liberty" for me, as Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 227), and in the twenty years since I have been endeavoring to obey her command (ibid.), "Follow me [Christian Science]! Escape from the bondage of sickness, sin, and death!" I have been healed of grief, influenza, heart trouble, sprained ankle, pneumonia, chronic colds, criticism, fear—a book could not contain all the blessings Christian Science has brought me. I am so grateful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church. The love which enfolded me when being examined by the membership committee of a branch church in New York, destroyed the fear of examinations from which I had suffered all through school. When I transferred my branch church membership to this city, the interview, instead of being a source of anxiety, brought me a deeper realization than ever before of the protection which the standard of Christian Science, raised for me in the Sunday school, has been all these years; and the privilege of again being in the Sunday school as a worker is cause for rejoicing.—(Miss) Dorothy Lloyd Johns, Hollywood, California.
