Your readers must be grateful for the tolerance shown by the editorial in your issue of January 12, which deplored the deliberate raising of a religious controversy over a question in which the religious beliefs of those concerned should play no part, the Girl Guide movement being nonsectarian and undenominational.
Recent issues of Emanu-El have contained some interesting letters regarding the racial and religious status of the Jew who has embraced Christian Science.
In a recent issue of your paper, you quote from an address delivered by a doctor wherein he says, "Christian Science in one of its aspects is an organized system of quackery allied to religion.
A report of the lecture by a doctor purporting to be on Christian Science, appearing in your issue of the 7th inst.
A letter printed in the February 16 issue of your paper, under the heading "Christian Science Lecture Reviewed," although apparently written without intentional misrepresentation of Christian Science, nevertheless conveyed to your readers wrong impressions of that religion, and I should like to correct at least a few of the misleading statements it contained.
