I am indeed very grateful for Christian Science healing

I am indeed very grateful for Christian Science healing. At the age of eleven years I read the first two sections of a Christian Science lecture, which described the discovery and founding of Christian Science, and showed the infinite love of God, the purity and the unselfish and loving efforts and service required of and given by its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy. This convinced me that Christian Science was the truth, that it was founded on a divine basis, and that it would heal disease. I knew that sometime I would need Christian Science.

A few years later I found myself seeking pleasure and success in materiality and much that was unprofitable. Twelve and a half years ago I decided I had gone far enough in this direction, and turned to Christian Science with a desire to reform my living, thinking, and acting, but without any thought of physical healing. I purchased a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and a Christian Science Quarterly, borrowed a Bible, and began the study of Christian Science, sincerely trying to put into practice what I learned. In ten days I found I had been healed of a very bad temper, of the use of profanity, and of neuralgia of the teeth, which had been almost constant for a year. I was also entirely healed of a chronic tendency to take cold, of sore throat, grippe, and catarrh. From these ailments I had suffered for five years, the attacks beginning in early fall and lasting till late spring.

Since beginning the study of Christian Science I have depended upon it alone for physical healing, and have been instantaneously healed of pain when it was so severe I could not think for myself, through treatment by a Christian Science practitioner. Two years ago my thumb was crushed, as far back as the roots of the nail, by being shut like a vise in an automobile door. Through the understanding of the "scientific statement of being," found in the Christian Science textbook (p. 468), the pain was destroyed in a few moments. There was no swelling, and the next day I found myself pinching, rolling, and twisting this thumb: it was so surprising to find no soreness there. Although the nail was badly disfigured, it soon grew again and was trimmed away, and is now as perfect as the other.
