Christian Science teaches, as did Christ Jesus, that life is eternal. Jesus, on one occasion, said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death;" and on another, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." While Christian Scientists have begun to prove, and are proving, in their daily experience the practicability of the works and teachings of the great Way-shower, they do not lay claim to anything they have not yet demonstrated, as witness the statement made by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in her book "Unity of Good" (p. 40): "To say that you and I, as mortals, will not enter this dark shadow of material sense, called death, is to assert what we have not proved; but man in Science never dies. Material sense, or the belief of life in matter, must perish, in order to prove man deathless."

There is nothing in the teaching of Christian Science that discourages the drawing up of wills; and many of its students do so. It is a matter of general knowledge that many who are not Christian Scientists do not choose, for various reasons, to make wills; so it would seem that this is an individual matter, regardless of religious affiliation.
