[Original testimony in German]

In February, 1924, my wife was afflicted with a dimming...

In February, 1924, my wife was afflicted with a dimming of one of the corneas, and in that eye she was completely blind. We consulted an optician, who diagnosed the condition as an hereditary disease of the blood. My wife's mother had passed on with such a disease, and we were hopeless. We consulted three physicians, but they all said my wife's illness was incurable, or that she would suffer from it for years. All the blood-purifying remedies, injections, and hospital treatment we tried were in vain. My wife could not see the shadow of her hand with the affected eye, and we had to reckon with the prophesied loss of sight of the other eye. My employer then called my attention to Christian Science, and my wife went to see a practitioner, who worked for her in Christian Science. From that very day her sight began to grow clearer, and in four weeks, through God's help, she could see with this eye and was well.

We are deeply grateful that we were privileged to find this way.—Johann Schwarz, Pforzheim, Baden, Germany.

I am sincerely grateful to God for the healing mentioned above, which I was privileged to experience in Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Lydia Schwarz.
