With gratitude I wish to testify to my healing by mental surgery through Christian Science. I was leaning over the banister of my porch with a large pair of scissors in my hand, when the banister gave way and I fell on the scissors. They cut my nose and cheek bone and the bone in my nose was crushed.

After I declared that God was my Life, the scissors loosened and came out. They had been tight in my nose, and were bent halfway down from the screw. The flow of blood was stopped, and consciousness retained, by realizing that since God is Mind, I could not lose consciousness. With the help of a loving practitioner, to whom I owe endless gratitude, fear was overcome; and I did not suffer pain or soreness at any time. I lived constantly in the thought of the ninety-first and twenty-third psalms, and knew that divine Love anointed my face as with oil.

I feel that I have, indeed, touched the hem of Christ's garment. Words cannot express my gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy for all the blessings my family and I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.
