My heart is filled with deep gratitude to God, to the loving Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for Christian Science, which has so wonderfully changed my thoughts on life. I was influenced by loved ones to have treatment for physical troubles of long standing, and my first talk with the loving practitioner lifted me out of the bondage of wrong thinking into the understanding that God is a God of love and sends nothing but good to His children. This was a sweet spiritual uplift to me, for I had been taught that God sent all afflictions to draw us closer to Him. I was healed of wearing an abdominal support, of constipation of fifteen years' standing, and of the daily use of medicine. After those healings I knew that God was the only Physician, the medicines were thrown away, and my heart was filled with songs of praise. My healings and blessings are too numerous to mention, but I beg space to mention some of them. One was of a broken arm, that I did not even wear in a sling, and of an almost broken head. These injuries were caused by falls. They were healed through God's loving care, by a kind practitioner and dear friends. God has lovingly sustained me in sorrow, and helped me to realize that "the eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." I am thankful for being a member of The Mother Church, and for all the Christian Science literature, which proves such a blessing to those who read it. I thank God for the little band who have been meeting in our home for years, studying the Lesson-Sermon and reading the sweet hymns which are so inspiring to us. May we continue to be faithful in this religion of Love, and find peace and comfort in doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. I am thankful to all the dear practitioners who at different times have lovingly helped me to overcome erroneous thoughts, and to all the dear friends who have been so faithful to me. I hope these lines will help some who are struggling under error as other testimonies have helped me. I want to thank the officers of The Mother Church for their faithfulness to the church. May God give us wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and that perfect Love that casts out all fear. "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."
